日本の文化である「漢字」のタイポグラフィを、視覚的に分かりやすくアート表現しました。
「意味も同時にわかる文字表現」をテーマに、日本人以外でも楽しんでもらえるような作品を目指しています。
I created a visually appealing art expression of the typography of the Japanese culture of kanji. I aimed to create a work of art that could be enjoyed by non-Japanese people, based on the theme of character expression that is simultaneously recognizable and meaningful.
抹茶 / Maccha
茶の新芽を摘んで精製した葉茶を、臼でひいて粉末にしたもの。
ー抹茶の粉末感と濃厚な味を彷彿とさせるシズル感のあるグラデーションで
視覚的に分かりやすく文字をデザインしました。
視認性を損なわない程度に文字を崩し、テクスチャをかけて個性を出しています。
The tea leaves are refined from the sprouts of the tea plant and ground into a powder in a mortar. The letters are designed with a sizzling gradation to make them visually easy to understand, reminiscent of the powdery texture and rich taste of matcha. The letters are broken up to the extent that they do not detract from visibility, and textures are applied to give them a unique look.
美麗 / Birei / Beautiful
人の目にとまるほど美しいこと。ー明朝体をベースに美しい曲線の形を大切にしながらタイポグラフィを制作しました。線の太さに強弱を大きくつけてメリハリを出し個性を出しています。
Be beautiful enough to catch people's attention. The typography is based on Mincho typeface with a beautiful curved shape. I used thicker and weaker lines to bring out a sense of balance and individuality.
元気 / Genki / Vigor
活動のもとになる気力。また、それがあふれている感じであること。
カラーリングは原色を使用しカラフルでポップな印象を出し、形も積み木のようなシンプルな形を
ランダムに組み合わせることで楽しげで明るい世界観を作りました。
The energy that comes from the activity. It must also feel like it is overflowing. I used primary colors to create a colorful pop impression, and randomly combined simple shapes like building blocks to create a fun and bright world.
飛躍 / Hiyaku / Leap
大きく高くとぶこと。勢いよく活動すること。順を追わないでとびはなれた所へ移ること。
未来に向かって勢いよくジャンプしてステップアップする様子をグラフィックで表現しました。
スピード感を表すためにグラデーションを使用し、さらにグリーン〜ブルーの色相差を出すことで
次のステップへ移り変わる様子も表現しています。
Fly big and high. To operate with vigor. Move out of sequence, not in order I used graphics to illustrate how to jump and step up to the future. We used a gradation to express a sense of speed, and also created a green to blue hue difference to express the transition to the next step.
蜂蜜 / Hachimitsu / Honey
ミツバチが花からとって巣にたくわえた蜜。無色・黄色の粘りけの強い甘い液体。大部分が糖分で、食用・薬用にする。
蜂蜜らしいねっとりとした質感とフォルムを大切にしながらタイポグラフィを制作しました。
半透明なテクスチャーやハイライトなども、文字の視認性を損なわない程度に取り入れています。
Nectar collected by bees from flowers and stored in the hive. A colourless, yellow, sticky, sweet liquid. Most of the honey contains sugar and is used for food and medicinal purposes. I created the typography while keeping the honey's rich texture and form in mind. We also used translucent textures and highlights without sacrificing the legibility of the text.
感謝 / Kansha / Appreciation
ありがたく思って礼をいうこと。心にありがたく感ずること。
暖かく優しい気持ちがじんわり出てくる情景をタイポグラフィに落とし込みました。
笑顔やポワポワとしたモチーフを入れて浮かび上がらせることで優しい世界観を作っています。
Be grateful and say thank you. To feel grateful in your heart. The typography is filled with warm and gentle feelings. I used smiling and puffy motifs to create a gentle world view.
検温 / けんおん / Kenon
体温を計ること。
いろいろな種類の体温計を組み合わせてカラーリングも統一し、POPな世界観で検温を表現しました。
Taking your temperature. Combining various types of thermometers and unifying the color scheme, we expressed temperature measurement with a POP world view.
筋肉 / きんにく / Kinniku
筋肉は動物の持つ組織のひとつで、収縮することにより力を発生させる、代表的な運動器官である。
動物の運動は、主として筋肉によってもたらされる。

恋 / Koi / Love
異性、または同性に愛情を寄せること、その心。恋愛。
「恋とは落ちるもの」とよく言いますが、まさにその「ドクンッと心臓が音を立ててそのまま落下していく状況」を
グラフィックで視覚的に表現しました。
Affection for the opposite sex or the same sex, the heart. Love. It's often said that "love is something to fall," and that's exactly what I've done with this graphic representation of a heart that falls with a thumping sound.
彷徨う / Samayou / Wandering
目的もなく歩き回ること。心や考えなどを決められずに迷うこと。
真っ暗闇の中で、自分の心情も目的も彷徨いまるで分からなくなっている様子をグラフィックで表現しました。
不安な感情を表現するため、文字自体を左右非対称にしたり、グルグルさせたりしています。
To walk around without purpose. Getting lost without being able to make up your mind, thoughts, etc. I expressed graphically how one wanders around in total darkness and loses track of one's feelings and purpose. In order to express the feeling of anxiety, I made the letters themselves asymmetrical and swivel around.
