日本の文化である「漢字」のタイポグラフィを、視覚的に分かりやすくアート表現しました。
「意味も同時にわかる文字表現」をテーマに、日本人以外でも楽しんでもらえるような作品を目指しています。
- I created a visually appealing art expression of the typography of the Japanese culture of kanji. I aimed to create a work of art that could be enjoyed by non-Japanese people, based on the theme of character expression that is simultaneously recognizable and meaningful.
盆栽 / Bonsai
盆栽とは、木のほか草、苔を鉢に植えて、枝ぶり、葉姿、幹の肌、根および鉢、もしくはその姿全体を鑑賞する趣味。自然の風景を模して造形するのが特徴である。ー盆栽の特徴やディテールを漢字に落とし込み、アート性と可読性の両立を目指しました。

花 / Hana / Flower花
花とは植物が成長してつけるもので、多くは綺麗な花びらに飾られる。ー花の茎で文字全体のフォルムを描き、その上に花を飾りアート化しています。花の美しく儚い様子を色味やトーンで表現しています。
A flower is something that a plant grows and puts on, often decorated with beautiful petals.
I drew the entire form of the letter with the stem of a flower, and then decorated it with flowers to create an art form. The colors and tones express the beauty and fragility of flowers.
工事 / Koji / Construction
土木・建築等の建設作業、造船、ネットワーク配線などの構築作業をする行為を表す。ー日本の工事現場の特徴やイメージ、モチーフを漢字アートに取り込み制作しました。真ん中の注意喚起の人物マークがポイントです。
It represents the act of construction work such as civil engineering and architecture, shipbuilding, and network wiring. I incorporated the characteristics, images, and motifs of Japanese construction sites into the kanji art. The attention-grabbing figure in the middle is the key.
味噌 / Miso
味噌は、大豆や米、麦等の穀物に、塩と麹を加えて発酵させて作る発酵食品で、日本の伝統的な食品の一つである。ー味噌らしいカラーリングとモチーフ、テクスチャで制作しました。
Miso is a fermented food made by fermenting grains such as soybeans, rice, and wheat with salt and koji, and is one of the traditional foods of Japan. It is one of Japan's traditional foods.
I used colors, motifs, and textures typical of miso.
温泉 / Onsen
地中から湯が湧き出している現象や場所、湯そのものを示す用語である。その熱水泉を用いた入浴施設やそれらが集まった地域（温泉街、温泉郷）も一般に温泉と呼ばれる。ー温泉といっても色々な種類の温泉があるので、そのバリエーション豊かなイメージとゆったりした雰囲気を表現しました。
The term "hot spring" is used to describe a phenomenon or place where hot water gushes out of the ground, or the hot water itself. The term "onsen" is also used to describe bathing facilities that use hot water springs, as well as the areas where these facilities are located (onsen towns, onsen villages).
There are many different types of hot springs, so I tried to express the image of a rich variation and a relaxed atmosphere.
蕎麦 / Soba
蕎麦とは、穀物のソバの実を原料とする蕎麦粉を用いて加工した、日本の麺類、および、それを用いた料理である。ー蕎麦の麺を文字化してわかりやすくユニークにアート化しています。蕎麦によくトッピングされている食べ物も一緒に描き、より視覚的に伝わるようデザインしました。

相撲 / Sumo
相撲は、土俵の上で力士が組合って戦う形を取る日本古来の神事や祭で、同時にそれを起源とする武芸や武道の一つ。ー力士のフォルムや組み合う様子をタイポグラフィに落とし込みました。肉感や肌感を強調し、相撲らしい特徴を捉えています。
Sumo is an ancient Japanese ritual or festival in which sumo wrestlers fight each other in a ring, and it is also one of the martial arts that originated from sumo.
The form of sumo wrestlers and the way they fight together are incorporated into the typography. The emphasis is on flesh and skin, capturing the characteristics of sumo wrestlers.
残業 / Zangyo / Overtime (Work)
時間外労働。法定労働時間を超える労働のことをいう。ー深夜に及ぶ労働で疲労している様子をPOPにタイポグラフィ化しています。
Overtime work. Refers to work in excess of legal working hours.
This is a POP typography of fatigue from working late into the night.
